Medicinal use of Uncaria rhynchophylla:

The curved thorns on the stems are antispasmodic, carminative, febrifuge and hepatic. A decoction is used in the treatment of infantile convulsions, headaches, dizziness, hypertension and apoplexy. The decoction should not be overcooked.
