An excellent ground cover between shrubs, at the front of the border and in a sunny rock garden. Plants are used to stabilize steep banks in warm climates.

Propagation of Ceratostigma plumbaginoides:

Seed - we have no details for this species but suggest sowing the seed in a greenhouse in the spring. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and grow them on in a greenhouse for at least their first winter. Plant them out into their permanent positions in late spring or early summer, after the last expected frosts. Division in the spring.
